Participatory Architecture: Elettra Melani and Som Vanserey Rothnak

We asked Elettra Melani, the Community Engagement Coordinator of Connected Canopy to talk about participatory architecture.

When developing the project for Cambodian Living Arts it was important to us to include community engagement as part of the process. Elettra, with experience and a passion for inclusive design, guided the winning team Som Vanserey Rothnak, Mol Nyta, Cheng Neahav, and Noy Vannak as they invited community members to join them in the design and build process.

Here’s her conversation with Rothnak talking about what “participatory architecture” means.
