o Sok Sothearath, Founder of JUNLEN
Sothearath started JUNLEN to upcycle organic waste into vermicompost by raising earthworms. JUNLEN provides training to farmers, supports sustainable farming practices, and also contracts farmers for vermicompost and vegetable products. Through 4 years of experience, JUNLEN is solving organic waste issues and reducing chemicals over used in farming. JUNLEN’s mission is aligned with sustainable development goals on climate change, ending hunger, and ending poverty.

Working for diverse parties across the fashion supply chain in both China and Cambodia has shaped Jessie’s conviction that supply chain relationships are complex, and the people within them need more chances to speak out their thoughts and share their views. Creative Generation is a platform to launch Cambodia’s new artistic talents by celebrating, mentoring and inspiring young creatives to cultivate a strong artistic vision and professional skills. It formalizes and deepens the work of Java Creative Café which runs a family of cafes and community art spaces and has been modelling cultural enterprise in Cambodia for more than two decades.

This program is part of the Under the Canopy 1 which has been made possible by the generous donations and support of Karen McLeod Adair & Anthony Adair, Australian collectors of contemporary Cambodian art and supporters of young artists; and Debra Fram & Eric Schwartz.

With special thanks to our collaborators Eco Business Cambodia and F3 (Friends Futures Factory), and gift bag sponsors: Good Wood Home Designs, Java Creative Cafe, Khraft, Only One Planet, Pop Cambodia Store, Phaly Craft, Srepov’s Botanical Garden and We film Lab.
