Creative Generation and Cambodian Living Arts Announce Finalists for the Connected Canopy Project
Creative Generation, in collaboration with Cambodian Living Arts, is thrilled to unveil the five finalists for the groundbreaking Connected Canopy project. This innovative initiative, blending art, architecture, and community engagement, aims to create a meaningful and multifunctional space at the home of Cambodian Living Arts. Designed to host community gatherings, cultural events, and foster personal expression, the project is a significant architectural intervention with social and cultural impacts.
At the core of Connected Canopy is the belief in connection through community involvement. The process of designing this space is just as important as the final outcome. The selected design teams will need to develop strategies that actively engage the local community in the collaborative creation of the space.
From an impressive pool of 16 applicants, a panel of esteemed jurors has shortlisted five outstanding finalists. Each proposal displayed remarkable creativity, but these five stood out for their unique approaches to blending artistic vision with community needs.
The jury was inspired by the diversity and originality of ideas submitted and feel that these five finalists represent the very best of what this project is about—art, architecture, and community working together.
In the coming month, the finalists will receive guidance from expert mentors to refine their concepts into comprehensive master plans. The final designs will then be presented to the Jury for the selection of the winning project.
Follow us on this exciting journey to transform Cambodian Living Arts’ space into a hub of community connection and artistic expression.
